Wondering if anyone has had experience with business intelligence (BI) as a service, or vice versa, using BI with cloud services. Is it tricky to sync data correctly between on and off premise? Any major vendors out there have a good mastery of this sort of practice?
Thanks for any advice.

talk to IBM on this.
ITKE – There are established vendors in the market place who do cloud-based BI very well and at a lower cost then most would think. What I think is one of the most impressive points often overlooked…is the short time and effort it takes to get setup and running. Also, some solutions offer free trials which let you see their entire BI infrastructure / framework with your own data with in minutes.
The sync between data on presence and off presence can be tricky however, it is fully dependant on the type of data. The best part about the right BI tool is that it will allow you to see all of your data for desktops, laptops, netbooks, and even handhelds in one place with just a couple clicks. It will have formatting which is designed to be efficient and effective (actionable) across multiple job responsibility (Management, Desktop Support, Help Desk, Security, etc).
