 Bulk Junk Emails in Outlook
I am a non-IT staff but I am with IT background. Here is a scenario of the problem, hope to get the appropriate solution. There was a company and each staffs had a different account. But now it is merged with another company. The problem is all the emails are received in one email that belongs to that company: suppose the name of company is ABC: there were lots of email ids: x@abc.com, y@abc.com, z@abc.com, etc. and now all emails are received at info@abc.com. Most emails are junk emails and among them only 0.01% emails are needed. You can imagine: 11000 emails are coming in a single day. Our IT people say that they have blocked all the staff ids except 3 IDs that are necessary. But junk emails are still coming for those ids and other fake IDs created with domain @abc.com. Receipt of emails is been hard and time consuming. Can I sort out this problem by myself being non-IT staff or it should be done working in the Server. Please suggest me so that I can suggest my IT staffs also.

Answer Wiki:
This will need to be resolved at the server spam filtering level. You do not say if these are exchange accounts or some other mail system. If exchange or lotus or some other mail server controlled by your company then your IT staff needs to review better spam filters. Is spam filtering being done by a software aplication on a server or by third party vendor? What is the mail system you are using and what version and patch level please?
