BSNL Exchange End Architecture for MPLS
Dear All ,

I am new in the Networking Industry , Presently working in a large Bank and doing network Rollout .

My question is , that what is the Architecture of BSNL exhange while deploying MPLS .

The Branch side has A Cisco 1841 router , which is connected to V.35 Modem , then connected to G.703  but after that what are the equipments used by BSNL to send the data to interconnecting Exchange with a brief example .

Regards,

Pranay

In MPLS terminology, Router in Customer end is called CE and in ISP is PE(Provider Edge).Connectivity from CE to PE can be through different modes, wimax, wired or through Mux. In
case of MPLS VPN, once the packet towards a destination from CE hits
PE. It checks the route in VRF. It would be learned via MPBGP from
different PE or same PE. If it is learned via different PE. Router will
check how to reach the Next hop, this would via an IGP(OSPF or ISIS).
Now MPLS starts. Router will check for the lable assigned towards the
destination , then forwards to P routers. P router swaps the labels and
finally reach the other PE, then the traffice is forwarded to CE.Interconnecting PE to P would be mainly through TXN Fiber optic media with the help of MUX.
