BOUNCING OF MAILS TO HQ


Bounced email, Exchange Server

Anytime i send a mail to addresses in our HQ it bounces back immediately with an error message stating


Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: test mail
Sent: 2/19/2008 8:43 AM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

inikolovski@crs.org on 2/19/2008 8:43 AM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

how can i fix this problem

It would appear that your exchange server doesnt know that the exchange server at HQ exists. Make sure that both machines are in the same Exchange Organization.

What mrdenny says above is a possibility, however, since it's to your HQ I assume it worked previously. I would restart the information store and the MTA's on the two servers (I've seen this happen with an information store/MTA going flakey). Also, you might try looking at the routes and having exchange re figure the routes on teh bridgehead servers (Not IP routes, but MTA routes) if you have several servers.
