How can I change the bookmark prebuild in Domino Admin?
If you install Lotus Notes on a new computer there are some bookmark preset, but they got kind of out of date.
So much time passed we don't really now how to change those presets.
Is there a way to preset the replication list, so we don't have to replicate every database one by one every time we replace a laptop or give out a new one?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Domino Admin 8.5

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think what you’re looking for is this.  Go to the Configuration tab in the Admin.  On the left hand side, go to Policies and then “by Settings”  Select your Setup Settings policy and then, using the Tools section on the right, go to the Policies section and choose Edit.  The bookmark presets you’re looking for are on the Databases tab.

    Ah, found it, thank you.

But now I have another problem, how do I add database for bookmarking? Drag & Drop from 'Data' doesn't seem to work and I can't find the option 'copy as a link'.

Open the database you want (or just select it) and then on the menu, select Edit->Copy As->Application Link.  This puts a link to the database on the clipboard.  Now, go to the databases tab of the Setup policy and paste the link (ctrl-v).

    Hello Stiletto

Thank you very much, I found it now.

But there just seems to be one problem after the other. I deleted the old bookmarks and put in the ones. I also added some databases for replication for testing.

The problem now: When I made a new domino user and set his Notes up, I just got the old bookmarks again. My changes in Domino Admin are still there. Do I need to check some of the boxes at the right to make it accept the changes or where could the problem be?

All of the information is stored in the public address book.  There's a replica of this on every server.  Is it possible that you made the change on one server, and that the new client used a different server before replication took place?  Or that the changes didn't replicate at all, perhaps due to one-way replication?  Another thing to consider: the same settings are available in the desktop policy document.  In fact, with Domino 8.5, that would be the preferred location.

I modified XXX_XXX_SET and deleted the stuff out of XXX_XXX_DSK.

But if I install a new notes, I still get the old bookmark setup.

Guess I have to wait for the end of my bosses holidays, to ask him about the replication stuff.

But before I forget it: How do I add bookmarks at XXX_YYY_DSK. I could delete the old one, but if I want to add it tells me, this part is protected or something like that.

Hmmm.  Sounds like you don't have rights to do that - you should talk to your boss about that.  As for the old ones still being applied, another thing to look at is the Dynamic Policies -> by Person/Group or the explicit policies.  Perhaps what you're doing is being overridden by a policy with higher precendence.
