That is a good question and I can’t answer it for the XI version of Business Objects but, I can tell you that I have set up earlier versions and currently we are using Crystal Enterprise 10 and have had a few minor problems that I have been able to figure out work through but it seems to be an exremely powerful tool. I did receive a call yesterday from my Business Objects rep and he is going to have a couple of people set in on the planning and implementation of XI. I will let you know what I have learned thus far about XI and you may already know this but hopefully it will help.
I have talked with a few different individuals about it and it will depend on your current setup that is, if you have a previous version. If you don’t then it will take a lot of planning because if my understanding is correct the install process is very complicated and complex. Of course, if you are upgrading it is even more imperative to plan before implementing because it is even more complicated if you already have a previous version and it is setup in a specific manner. For example mine is a very customized setup and it is going to take me a great deal of planning and testing in a virutal enironment before I implement anything.
