HI I have recently installed Windows7. When I go to edit my joomla websites, I am blocked by my hosting provider. They do not know the reason. I have reset my modem to provide another ip address but about 10 minutes later, the situation occurs again. It seems that when I take the windows7 machine off the network, all is well on my other pc,(windows xp) when working on the net. We have ADSL2 with a home network. I am at a loss to understand what could be the cause Kind Regards Brent

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Can you access other websites with the Windows 7 computer? If you can then there’s a problem with that specific website and you’ll need to contact them. If its all websites what error message do you get?

Thanks for your prompt reply. I can access other websites with the windows 7 machine. I have another xp machine (on the same desk) and it can also access other sites. Now here is the weird part. If I disable my Windows7 machine (which I just purchased a few days ago) and reset my modem to provide a new ip address, then I have no problems accessing the sites that were previously blocked to me. Once I enable the windows7 machine access then the problems start all over again Thanks

Are you trying to edit the site on the Windows7 machine? Is there any content monitoring software running on it? I know many new machines ship with 'parental control' type software that runs on start up.
