Can the enterprise server be configured to use a hosted MS Exchange server?

If you are referring to that the Enterprise Server is within your organization and you want it to communicate it with a hosted platform. Normally, hosted companies would block this since they would offer a mobile solution at a cost. Outside of them blocking it, I didn't it would not work for the reason that their is no "trust" between the hosted environment and your corporate environment.
