Answer Wiki:
You'll need a TN5250 (Telnet 5250) emulator of some sort. Cheap and Simple? Beats me.

There is one I've heard of from Rove Mobile

www.rovemobile.com/mobileadmin/features/detailedfeatures/as400/

Can't vouch for it though.

Mike

I have developed a software (name T400)
for Blackberry device
that can obtain that task.

T400 is basically a program developed in standard J2ME tecnology (midlet)

It implements an “enhanced” VT100 telnet client
that I have optimized and tested for iSeries server.

If someone is interested I can give this software FREE
for “test” purpose.
