Best way to prepare for an IT conference?

I spoke with one of the head honchos of Interop, and asked him what advice he had for conference goers to get the most out of a conference ... if such trips were still in their budget. If you go to conferences, what do you do to prepare, and any advice in how to go and actually get stuff done?

Rest up before hand, take lots of notes during the sessions, meet new people, go to the unofficial after parties, and have fun.

Its a time tested approach that works every time.
