It depends.

For server access I find great success in Google 2FA (2FA = 2-factor authentication).

For other services like email and such, I’d advise against it unless there’s a real need.  Logically you would need to continuously need to ask for a new token unless you cache the session, which completely defeats the purpose of 2FA.
