We have Exchange 2010 R3. I am looking to reduce spam. What is the first step I should take other than buying a high end barracuda firewall? I am not an IT expert.

How about a managed Barracuda service like what Cudamail offers? You might also consider Google or one of the other third-party players as well.

I installed a spam provider in the Hub Transport.  Depending on who I talk to, it seems to have reduced incoming spam around 50% (relatively speaking) but has only been 2 days.  I call this a success but will review it for 5 more days.

    It came from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd351199%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx

I am using zen.spamhaus.org as the provider.
