Best practice for moving VM to new server?

Both hosts are Windows Server 2003 running VMware Server 2. I would like to move a VM from one of these Windows Server 2003 hosts to the other - and would appreciate if someone would list a step-by-step or point me in the right direction to preserve everything. I don’t think you should encounter too much problems in pausing/stopping the VM and moving it to the new server and then restarting it.

    Copy the VM folder from Server 1 to Server 2. Then create an existing virtual machine on Server 2, and point it at the copied VM file.
