This has got to be PL/Sql Developer. It very inexpensive per desktop license (less than 300.00) . It also has excellent debugging facilities, code templates, color coding, standard reports for DBA & devleloper, export/import. Just to name a few. HTH Frank P.

TOAD is pretty good. It is color-coded, allows multiple connections, and has lots of tools.

I liked EZSQL, but TOAD bought it, and they have not incorporated all of its functionality.

SQL Navigator from Quest isn’t bad. They are the same company that owns toad now.

There is a trial, I would note that there are a few important patches that you should install if you decide to purchase. I would recommend them. If I remember correctly, there were some issues related to window focus and occasional crash which were corrected. I’ve been using it for about 2 years now and find it to be better than toad.

All,

Sorry to chime in late on this subject. In any case aren’t there software performance and avaluation outfits out there… possibly online or a web site?
I use to subscirbe to magazines in the past that evaluate all application software but I cannot rememer their names…
I will let you know if I find anything….

Good Luck anyway!
