Beginner – How to move a table

I have one database, called Mask List. It contains two lists, Mask List and VIP Visits, which are unrelated and unlinked. I'd like to move VIP Visits out as a separate table I can call up and use without having to go into the Mask List database. I have created a link directly to VIP Visits on my desktop, but cannot copy and paste it elsewhere. In other words, I don't need VIP list to be part of the Mask List database at all. Thanks for your help! I tried Microsoft Help, but that was worthless.

I may be missing something …. Is it a situation where you just want to delete VIP list table from the database? Assuming you are working with Access 2007 (Access 2003 should be fine too)

To be safe:
1) First copy the whole database. Open the Explore, highlight the database, right click & then select copy.
2) Now Highlight another folder – right click & select paste. The same databases are now on two different folders.
3) Open the newly created database. In Access 2007 – under ”All Access Objects” on the left hand panel – highlight the VIP table, right click & select delete.
4) If you have any query or reports based on VIP table – then there will be error message when you want to open/execute these query/report. You may delete them – the same way — right click delete.

If what you want is to have some table (VIP Visits) as a separate "stand alone" table, without being part of any database, that is not possible. You cannot have tables without a database. If VIP Visits is not going to be part of the Mast List database, it will need to be part of some other database.
