On my service provider users' comment page, there is more than one mention about a Face Recognition feature available with BBz10. I looked for any further info on the official BB's site and could not find anything. Anyone could tell me if there is a face recognition feature on BBz10 and if so, how it works? (Both references: [http://www.bell.ca/Mobility/Products/BlackBerry-Z10 and http://ca.blackberry.com/search.html?q=face+recognition)

You probably need to ask your question somewhere that can help, such as the BlackBerry Support Community Forums. When you find an appropriate forum, you'll want to clarify in your question whether you're asking about BlackBerry Face Recognition mode of the camera setting or a "Face Recognition" app that can determine the identity of an individual from an image of a face. I believe that those are two very different functions. This isn't a phone help site, -- Tom

I agree, but from what I understand the meaning of "face recognition" is that faces can be located in the view. That is, a 'face can be recognized' as a component of a view. A face can be distinguished from surrounding objects. That allows automatic focus, color correction, exposure, etc.; it doesn't mean that the BB can be aimed at a crowd and assign names to any of the visible faces. There do, however, seem to be one or more apps that can be purchased that claim related identification capabilities. -- Tom

Welcome to ITKE, jallar! A great resource to check out is the Brighthand Bytes forum where you can ask any question that pertains to mobile (particularly smartphones).
