Hi Friends, We are using 1 Mbps leased line, and we have 100 users. My query is i want to allocate 400 kbps to my Managers (10 users) and remaining bandwidth to 90 users. Can any one help me in this. Reddy

Do you currently employ any bandwidth management devices? Packeteer is a good one. you can pick up a 1500 on the cheap (used).

How do you propose to control this bandwidth, in a cisco device?

    There are several bandwidth management tools available for linux if you want to roll your own. Do a google search.

    You can do this on your router itself or use linux based tools like tc.

    juniper networks makes a router that can do traffic shaping and you can allocate bandwith based on ip addresses of computers in your company.
