More information would be helpful as suggested in the answer. I would say that if you are looking for something that is for long term retention then a tape system is good as you can keep the data on tape, offsite, if needed and it is not too expensive. Anything other than that I would go with Disk. I use Veritas Netbackup on Server 2003. I have multiple ways that I store the backups. Tape is one and I have a lot gonjg to disk. A good disk solution that offers great compression is Data Domain.
Good Luck.

Selection of the tool is absolutely based on the business need and the budget around the spendings. Otherwise each of the tool has capability of backing the data and restore… Hope this has given some direction ![]()

One product that I like for documents and media is in addition to storing files you also have access from any computer with an internet connection. You can also give others read only or read and writing rights to specific files if you need to share materials.
Might not be what you are looking for but I think it is a good way the protect and access your data.
