Backup on V5R2 and Restore on V4R5


IT architecture


I have to Systems( one AS/400 running OS/400 V4R5 and An iSeries running i5/OS V5R2). Can I backup for example a file on the machine running V5R2 and restore on the one running V4R5?

Yes, you can save objects/libraries for restoring up to two versions back. Specify the Taget Release to be V4R5M0. You should see that is an allowed traget release when you do the save.
