These two products do different functions. One product is a security product while the other is a backup and recovery product. Both compliment each other and would recommend to renew both. =========== I think the best thing you can do is to contact the site of Symantec and tell your exact problems to them. Alternatively, you can also browse the read me files or manual of the backup software to make sure that there are no compatibility issues later on.
