Backup Deleted elements Exchange 2003

Dear experts,

I have one problem with recover of deleted elements. They are kept by me along 30 days and I can recover them according standard procedure. But if I restore with NTbackup.exe the old databank, I can not restore deleted elements, which existed when Backup would be made. Can I do anything?
Second question: where is deleted elements saved in Exchange 2003?

You will need to do a restore from a time before the items were deleted.
