just you can go to run prompt and ntbackup type that box than open window backup box. then select what you take backup files select go to next . complet your backuP. You can use Acronis to backup the server.

    Hi, Without any further information/need, I'd second David2009. Embedded with ntbackup you have the possibility to backup you "System State" which is needed if you want to do restore an Active Directory server. It also provides backup of: - system registry; - COM+ database; - Certificate Services; - Sysvol; - IIS metabase; If you have a specific need, just post back. HTH

    We use Acronis and do the same process as stated by the others works well and we have had to use the backups before on a recovery.

    I agree to acronis too. but it falls back on what you want to backup. this is more for image backup or other backup you want to run if just for normal data, ntbackup will do fine too.
