If I clean a library on Tuesday and the AS400 server falls down on Wednesday afternoon, Does the full system restore a full library ( full backup and incremental of Monday night) or an empty library on Wednesday night (with Tuesday night backup) ?

That depends. Are you restoring from the “full backup and incremental of Monday night” or the “Tuesday night backup”? What you restore from will determine what you can restore.

Depends on the save version of the tape. If you did a full save over the weekend and then daily SAVCHGOBJ backups the rest of the week you need to restore multiple tapes.Restore the full back up and then the subsequent SAVCHG backups. Hopefully it goes well and your backups are up to date. If not look forward to have to re do a lot of work.
