BackTrack, Encryption keys
I used BackTrack to find a wireless web encryption key, the key is found when I enter it and I omitted the :'s it give me unable to get IP address ,although I entered the key using HEX web, so does the key mismatch?

Do you understand how those connections work, and what the process is to acquire an IP address ? 

If not, that would be a good place to start.

If the decryption phase completed without error, why would you expect anything other than that?
 
I’m a little confused by the purpose of the question. Can you supply a valid business reason that will convince anyone to help? What is the business context that supports this activity?

Because it gives me “unable to get ip address” so I want to know if the aircrack may give wrong password or not
