 backing up across subnets
I have 3 subnets w10 servs each subnet has its own tape dev getting tired of swapping tapes want one unit to back them all up across the 3 subnets, Is this possible?

Are the subnets in the same physical location or are they on a WAN? If they're on a WAN, then what's your link speed between sites and approx how much data do you have in each site? Eric Pettit

So long as the backup host can reach the backup targets — that is the subnets are routable, then this should not pose an issue. Like our friend ESPETTIT suggests, check and watch your WAN throughput.

I assume that the backup solution that you intend to use has the capacity to backup all of the target servers.

Something that I forgot to point out is if you consolidate the backups, you must also think through how doing so will impact your backup window. Backing up a lot of data, especially across a WAN will take time.
