Yes. A Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Information Technology is as useful as a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. What’s really important is hands-on experience combined with higher education and professional certifications. If you are not working in IT yet, then you should seek an internship to get started and continue your education to the graduate school level. Once you know the area of IT that interests you the most you should also pursue professional certifications as they make you more marketable and your skills and confidence will soar too.

That means Bsc-IT, I think only this degree is not enough to secure ur jobs. If u will have to complete Msc-IT, and it helps to get some jobs. Not only degree, as well as hands-on experience / depth knowledge is also required. Though, MCA / MSCCS / M-Tech all r the masters, now it depends on u that which career path u want, either industry type job / IT lecturer..... Msc IT is good for lecturer / faculty-type jobs, that does not mean other sector does not fit. If u will successfully finish this program u can go for higher studies like PhD. The jobs available like in hospitals, chemical industry, research firms etc. Based on ur preference can choose any of the programs.

You are looking for BA or B.Sc degree . Information technology comes under science stream not in art stream. But there is great scope in IT .

Nowadays IT has been growing popular as like other sectors of work and education, If any one is pursuing a degree in IT specializing in Networking he may find an awesome work in big IT industries dealing with networking... other than this it will secure a job for sure,,,
