Hello everyone, completely new here so here is my question...I just finished my associate degree in Information Technology and starting my BS in Security System in Criminal Justice in fall 2010. I want to get in to IT Security (Computer Forensic/Security) kinda thing.
Here is a list of some course material that I have to take in Bachelor of Science in Security System.
CRJ 100 Introduction to Criminal Justice,CRJ 115 Computer Forensics,CRJ 200W Criminal Investigation, CRJ 201 Criminalistics.CRJ 217 Computer Forensics II,CRJ 218 Computer Forensics III, CRJ 302 Managing Security Systems, CRJ 310 Computer Security I, CRJ 311 Computer Security II, CRJ 312 Computer Security III, Access Control , CRJ 322 Intrusion Detection, CRJ 404 Cyber Law & Electronic Espionage, CRJ 410 Senior Project,CRJ 420 Physical Security I ,CRJ 421 Physical Security II.
Guys I am really confused I don’t know if I made the right choice by getting into this degree I mean what jobs I can get into? So far I have 3 yrs of IT experience without any certification. My goals are to work in FBI OR Homeland Security or any government jobs in computer aspects. I am also working on my Network+ and Security+.
