I recently upgraded AVG Free 9 &10 to AVG Free 2011. THe first two installs failed and the third one worked. However, throughout the day, I notice a popup screen asking permission to access my internet connection. The message says "hbf.cloud.avg.com" is wanting to access my internet connection. What is hbf.cloud.avg.com? My AVG is set for a 4am update and scan, this message I've mentioned pops up several times per day between 8Am and 2AM. Is this a problem or a part of the AVG Free 2011 antivirus software? THank you

I’m not running AVG 2011 right now on a system that’s quickly accessible. However, since the domain is avg.com and avg.com is an AVG domain (www.avg.com is an AVG web site), I expect that your firewall is letting you know that AVG 2011 is trying to contact an AVG server.
One potential reason would be the statistics that AVG collects. You might have chosen to allow it to report usage statistics about connections to/from other servers.
