 Available Certifications for AS/400 Developers

Hi All,

I have been working on AS400 as a Developer on RPG IV, CL and DB2/400 for around 4 years and i wanted to do any certification regards to AS400. Actually I'm planned to write RPG IV Certification Exam(Certification No :268), but recently i came to know from my friend that this certification is not available from IBM. Could anyone please tell me what are the AS400 certifactions available which will be valuable in market and useful in our Career.

Mohan,

The IBM site listed above includes all certifications that IBM makes. Remember that AS/400 is now called IBM i on Power and the current version of the OS is 7.1. IBM Rational is the middleware for the development languages of RPG, COBOL or Web languages such as JAVA and PHP that run on the IBM i on Power platform so was a developer I would check out that certification stream. Also if you want administration and operations, check out the hardware section for IBM POWER SYSTEMS certifications and look for IBM i under that.
