Q:
Autonumbering gone wrong Microsoft Access
I am using an append query to add data to a table. The query works except I have an autonumbering field and am not including it in my query because I want to continue the autonumbering in the table I am adding data to. The only problem is, is that the autonumbering is beginning from a much higher number. Why is it not adding number continuously?

The autonumber field increments every time a record is added. If you delete records and re-add them, there will be a gap where the original records were numbered.
