How can I automate my windows updates for my network. I also do not want to store them locally but have the client machines download the files on their own from the windows update website.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you are running a windows domain you can specify the settings using group policy. Alternatively you can setup a WSUS server that the clients will connect to in order to get the updates (uses less internet bandwidth as only 1 machine actually needs to download the files from the internet). Again though, you have to specify your clients to use the WSUS server in group policy.
