Automatically forward Exchange Server email to an alternate address
I would like to automatically forward incoming Exchange Server email to an alternate email address. At present, I am doing this via Microsoft Outlook, but that will only forward email if I run the Outlook client. I want to do this directly from the Exchange server. How can I set this up?

Answer Wiki:
If you run Active Directory Users and computers and browse to the Organisational unit containg you name, then bring up the properties page. If you select the 'Exchange General' tab, then 'Delivery Options'You have a forwarding address option. If you select 'Forward To' and then you can select an address to send it to. Please note that the address you are forwarding to must be in an Address book within active directoy, since you cannot simply type the address in., so you will have to add this before you start. If it is destimed for an external address you can simply add a contact in active directory.

if the address you want to forward to is external then you just create an active directory contact, you don’t have to create a full account for it.
