How can I write a automated script that does the file movement from one server to another server?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

U asked for scripts, though u did not disclose which OS r u using now,
generally script is used for Linux/Unix/Mac based PC while windows based
OS is is used software to complete job, however that does not mean,
script does not use in windows OS. Assuming u r using Windows, then Mr.
Charlie’s opinion is good, though u can consider this also…..

else u can consider vb script for ur issue.

Sorry this is not an answer, by mistake and browser problems, I posted
it here. Again I posted it in Discuss Area. Very Sorry for my mistake.

Not knowing all the details of what is available for you to use, the easiest way is to write a FTP script and put it on a scheduler.

Please come back with more information regarding your project if this does not work for you. We can then give better assistance.

The .txt (data) files are created and sent via email by our vendor. These files needs to be uploaded into a specific folder on the server from the local PC automatically to process it further to our clients. Please advice any automated script which could perform this activity. Currently we are doing this process manually.

depending on your volume you may want to look at a package that would allow you to setup some table entries and have this done completely automatically.
I highly recommend Linoma software. I have used it at my previous employer was was extremely please with the product and the support was the best I have had in 40 years in IT.
