Auto reply for end of forms message PQT4103

Printers send to operator:

When printer is out of paper.  I tried setting up an Auto reply using:

      [strong] 175    PQT4103  PAGE        'SWEEPPRT3'                         8[/strong]

for a system reply list entry. It does not seem to work properly. I also have tried CPA4106 and CPI4020 auto replys just as experiments. If we answer the manually the printers just waits until paper is added and resume when drawer is loaded and closed so it seems like auto reply should do the same if I can get it to work.  When I try to look up PQT4103 message ID it does not seem to exist.  Do I just accept that I can not do auto replys to out of paper message or is there another message ID or  a control paramater somewhere I need to change. Any help will be appreciated.   I would like to set up auto reply for all of our printer including Zebra, dot matrix and IPDS.

It looks like you have your 'compare start position' incorrect. If you display the message description, you should see that the text refers to field &3 and that there are two CHAR(10) fields in the message data buffer before field &3. The compare-value should start after those two fields, i.e., in position 21.

I testing I have found this entry below will auto reply for all printers. I am not sure I really want it active this way all the time and would like to select devices using the compare value field. This system is already used extensively on printers with different forms in each tray and works perfectlly for message id CPA3394 - load form type. I must be making an ID10T eerrroorr because I can not figure out how to get the compare value field to work on the PQT1043 test.

Thanks Tom,
Position 21 works. For some reason our message ID lookup will not pull up the PQT4103 so my only reference was the message sent to the operator for position. My thought was I had the position wrong because the *NONE *NONE worked for all printers. I tried several different positions but not 21.
