Authenticating a Domino application using LDAP

Hello, I have an online training application that allows users to connect anonymously but then requires them to authenticate with their Notes username and password after completing required courses. About 8% bomb because they enter their network username and password instead of the Notes username and password. Is there a way I could authenticate to LDAP directory instead of the Notes Domino Directory? (or check both when someone enters the 2 parameters?) Would appreciate if you could point me towards a resource that might have a basic example of how this can be done. Thanks, Mike

The feature you need to use is Directory Assistance.
Create a directory assistance database on your web server using the provided directory assistance template.
Once the database is created you will create a Directory Assistance document of the “LDAP” type and point it to the LDAP server.
Next select your server document from the All Servers view. From the menu choose Actions->Set Directory Assistance Information. Provide the file name of the directory assistance database you created.
Force the administration process to complete the request using “TELL ADMINP PROCESS INTERVAL”.
Restart the server.
