SAN attenuator use
We are running HP SANs. I'm providing a single link using their LH SFP from one computer room to another, with approx 3.4 db loss on both legs, but I'm seeing errors associated with too much light. When do you use attenuators?

Rather than using attenuator's, I would be concerned about the reason for too much light. a 3db loss translates to about half the light lost. So, if you have too much light even after losing half of it, you need to tone down the transmitter.
