Assign printers to clients when they log in
I would like to have printers installed to clients when they log in. Depending on the department they are in, they would get different printers. Is there a way to do this with scripting? I’ve tried through group policy and could not figure it out. I cannot find the print management console even though I’ve promoted the server to a print server.

I would use Mark D. MacLachlan’s logon script. http://wiki.ljackson.us/Logonscript.vbs#Logon_Script

Let us know if this works or not

I forgot to ask about your network enviroment. If you are running Windows server 2003 R2, then you can use its capability to deploy printers with group policy.
