ASM State in GMON Trace File


Oracle administration, ASM, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle 10, GMON

Oracle 10.2.0.3 RAC using ASM:
Red Hat Enterprise 2.6.9.44 (RHEL 4.4)

I have having problems bringing up a diskgroup in ASM. When I try to mount it, ASM hangs. When I review the GMON trace file, it shows the diskgroup trying to mount and is says "Member state = 4". What's a member state and what are the possible values and definitions for it?
