 AS400 Virtual IP
Im trying to implement virtual IP in my AS400 machine. Currently, I have 3 physical lines (eg. ETHLIN01,ETHLIN02,ETHLIN03) running under 1 card. Given my setup, Im having the following concerns.

- While connected to Virtual IP, I deactivated one of the physical ports (ETHLIN03), and  the session is still running. However, when ETHLIN02 is deactivated, the session is cutoff.  Should it failover to the other available lines? It cannot even start a new connection  when the ETHLIN02 is Inactive. Does my current setup allow this kind of failover?  Or does it require a separate network card?

- I tried to telnet from the AS400 going to my pc. Noticed that outgoing packets are consistently going thru ETHLIN01 only (I checked using Netstat opt 3). How can outgoing packets be routed to the other physical lines?         How can I further verify that load balancing is happening on my current setup.

Thanks in advance
