Answer Wiki:
Hi, do you mean you want the source of the PRTF transfered to excel or you want the created spool to be inserted inside excel. ? If this is option 2, please explain your goal for wishing that because i do not understand what that will bring to you. Using Operation navigator you may move your spool to a .TXT file pc based. And this one may be easily, like any other file/object. br. T. ============================================================= Generally, you would do it the same way you'd take the spooled output from a print request of a formatted Windows Word document and open that in Excel. (Most likely you'd get garbage in Excel because Excel has no idea what to do with spooled files created in a complex printer data stream.) In short, an AFPDS object isn't compatible with a program like Excel. AFPDS isn't a trivial data stream. Create the output as a SCS printer file instead of AFPDS. Extracting clean text out of SCS objects is far easier. Tom
