AS/400 user profiles: Is there a ‘run command at log-off’ option?

I need to have a CL command run everytime a dedicated user ID logs off. This user ID is being used to allow the upload of data to the AS/400 from another system via FTP, and the data needs to be processed as soon as it is uploaded. I thought that if there was an option to automatically run a command at log-off then this would meet my needs. I cannot have the other system trigger a command due to limitations on that system.

How do your users log off the system now? If it's from a menu option you may be able to add the call to your program in the log off menu option.

If they are writing to the same file all the time, why not put a trigger program on that file conditioned on new records being added and if desired by a particular user.  This would all reside on the AS/400 and would not affect your current operations.

    Questions:

As you mention FTP and log-off are you referring to the FTP quit/bye/whatever as opposed to a signoff command?

Is the remote user putting to the same file or different files, and by "file" is it a database file or an IFS *STMF? If database file, same library? If *STMF, same directory?
