Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Hi,

I don’t know hawk eye, but Turnover is a change management system. It’s normally used to manage implementations of software between different machines (i.e. development, test, acceptance and production machines).

Typically software changes are “bundled” into small changes and distributed using Turnover to the various machines as a “form”.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.

Also, TurnOver or other Change Management software on the AS/400 like Aldon or MKS Implementer can also be used on a single system between the test libraries and the production libraries to promote changes. It does not have to be only between machines.

I guess you could just replace machines with “environments” which may or may not be on the same machine.

Hawkeye is a tool that maps programs/data files/fields. Once the maps are created you can ask questions like - what programs call this program - what programs use this file - what programs update this file - what programs use a specific field in a file. Really useful stuff when doing maintenance.
