I am going to be leading a project to convert old AS400 data to SQL, and build a web front end.  Does anyone have a project charter, project plans etc I could use a a baseline for my write?  I'm looking for the whole gambit of information surrounding this 'conversion' and lessons learned etc.  Thanks in advance for any help or files you have to offer. Is this a project to redefine the database as a SQL database and then recreate it? Or are you only generating SQL to access the existing database through a web server? Are all of your existing physical files defined externally with DDS (or DML) and none of it is from a System/36 environment? And just to be sure, are you aware of the capability to 'generate' SQL through iSeries Navigator for existing databases? Tom

going to recreate the data base, much of the AS400 has Cobal in front of it that will need to be rewritten in Java. We will access the new database (likely Oracle now), via web portals. I'm not sure about the /36 environment.
