AS400 System Information Through Data Access

AS/400, WRKDSKSTS, VB, Automation, ODBC, OLE DB, WRKSBS, QSYSOPR

Hi,

We do a lot of AS400 system checks on a number of servers. Is there a way of using ODBC/OLE DB to access information from an AS400 concerning such commands like WRKDSKSTS (After using the F11 key to determine which ones are active), WRKSBS, QSYSOPR Messages, etc.

I am trying to download this informaiton into a DB to store this information for tracking. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Rikrawch, if you have command line access on the AS/400 you can execute each command specified and direct the output to *PRINT, then CPYSPLF to a datafile and used ODBC to retrieve the datafiles.
