 AS/400 STRTCP Authority Required
What is the minimum amount of user authority that can be granted to run the STRTCP command without handing over *ALLOBJ authority?

Hi, At a guess I'd say they'll need *JOBCTL at a minimum, because the STRTCP command starts various jobs necessary for TCP/IP. Regards, Martin Gilbert.

Something else you could do is to set up an authorization list and just add the users you want to have access to that command then go into WRKOBJ QSYS/STRTCP and secure by authorization list or just add the profiles individually to the command security.
