After 2 or 3 sys admins maintained our AS/400, the print jobs stopped printing on the default printer after each nightly backup job. The backups do run and I can run wrkmedbrm to see the tapes created each night. However, how to do get the print outs to come back and what command is used? Thanks in advance!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

whatever nightly job runs the backups, you can put the OvrPrtF (Override Printer File) command in the (presumably) CLP to direct the output to the desired Output Queue.

...the print jobs stopped printing on the default printer... Does that mean that no spooled files are created? ...or are they created but not in the desired *OUTQ? ...or created in the desired *OUTQ but not printing? Tom

Hello All-- The jobs were spooled. It turns out that after a quarterly backup job that included IPL'ing the system, everything is working fine again. The original Sys Admin who set this up didn't have it documented. I'm just surprised that the monthly backup and IPL'ing didn't reset everything until the quarterly job ran. Thanks to everyone who's replied back. Help.Me
