Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

What does that mean “was scratched”?

perform the procedure on the AS/400 to remove all data from the DIskp bt perofrming an IPL D and then use DST to intialize all the disks, the question is I need some hardcopy proof for the Auditors that in fact the scratch was done.

Note: The attached Twinaxe System Printer was disconnected and removed.

Is there an operating system still on the machine so you can you still signon? If so, with DST you can get a display with the % of disk space used. Since you do not have a printer, just cut and paste a view of the screen into a word document. (Ctrl_Alt & PrScn) to get your screen shot.

Sorry we are not using a PC Workstation (So M/S word is out) but an IBM Twinaxe Terminal, I should be able to attach a local printer and perform the screen prints as you suggested. Thank you for the info.

Scratch the system. Then type a document stating that the system was scratched and have it signed by the responsible persont. That'll be a lot easier than trying to get a scratched system to create any kind of "report". Also, since "report" text can be generated by any word processor or text editor, there is no way to verify the validity of a printed "report". A signed document is better. It may even include a statement that the system is no longer able to create "reports". Tom

For my auditors, I did: #1 DLTLIB *ALL for non IBM libs, libs QUSRSYS, QGPL, QMPGDATA, QPFRDATA were also deleted. #2 initialize the disk again. #3 And gave them a print screen of the libs on the system when initialize is done.
