I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking You are using AS/400 query and creating a file and you want an additional column with a note in it??? is this note the same for everyrow created??? here is a shot: select Define Result Fields Create the field NOTE expression 'This is a note' Column Heading NOTE Len 20 (or what ever you want) on Select and sequence fields include the new field NOTE along with the others that you want.
