Those are input spec and they are using the old RPG II level breaks. This will cause new lines every time there is a change in the value for each level break.

Look for other code in the program referring to these level breaks for calcs like subtotals to be done. It should not be too hard to follow.

    Keep in mind that an L2 level break triggers an L1 level break, an L3 level bread triggers an L2 level break which triggers an L1 level break, &c.

    You may or may not see calculation specifications that start CL1 or CL2 or CL3, &c.  These are known as total time calculations & are executed when the level break is triggered.
