AS400 Printing font too small or too large and wrapping

Oki 420
I recently installed a new printer - Oki 420 - I cannot get the font to come out correctly. Either the font is too large and the printing wraps or it is too small and users can't read it. The only way I know of to change this is by changing the printer model in the printer emulation setup. The version of client access I'm using does not have the 420 as an option.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you are talking about setting the printer up under Client Access, here are a couple of things you can try.

1.) Under File/Printer Setup, put a check mark next to use windows default printer.

2.) Under File/Printer Setup. Put a check mark next to use PDT. Then click on the select PDT button and select a PDT. If you can not find one for the Oki and it will support PCL then you can use one of the hppcl5.pdt.

These instructions are for Client Access V5R4.

If you are talking about setting this printer up as an outq on the i5, please post your outq configuration.
